The students enjoyed trying something new. This pumpkin activity will be the first of many painting activities. I wanted each student to paint their own pumpkin in the class pumpkin patch. The next project I have planned will be a winter theme project or a New Year's activity. For Mother's Day, they will paint a picture frame; I will print a silhouette of the student's face. I borrowed TK's paints as a first-year teacher, so I am glad to call these mine!\r\n I would love to partake in more painting activities that are part of school lessons or content. I can try to tie in painting with science. The students could do a directed painting activity and then label the parts of a flower. They can draw all the living things an animal needs, but I would have to plan all of this. For now, I will try to do one more art activity before winter break! Thank you so much. We enjoy using them.","fullyFundedDate":1755313040930,"projectUrl":"project/artists-and-opportunists-in-kindergarten/9334708/","projectTitle":"Artists and Opportunists in Kindergarten","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nguyen Bernal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9548526_orig.jpg?crop=1058,1058,x1229,y1592&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720573170530","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9548526"},{"teacherId":4702763,"projectId":9330268,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. Students have had the ability to create bracelets and necklaces for various occasions. The beads helped them create corn for Thanksgiving, 100-day necklaces, and bracelets for themselves. Before the school year ends, they will be creating bracelets for the 6th grade students they have been buddies with this school year as a thank you for their company. On their birthday, they get a birthday pencil, certificate, and sticker that acknowledges them on their special day. The Smencil pencils have been a hit. \r\n\r\nWhen I showed my students all the gifts, they were thrilled and excited to use them. They look forward to their birthday and making crafts. They love using beads to make bracelets and using them for other crafts. The pencils and bookmarks are great motivators for them to read and earn. My students have enjoyed the experiences throughout the school year. \r\n\r\nAs for our future projects, we are getting ready for Open House, our student store, Mother's Day, and the end of the year. Having a weekly store helps manage behaviors, especially towards the end of the school year.
