Because of your generosity, our students now have access to books in the library, dramatic play, blocks, science, and other classroom centers. A few students picked up a book about buildings and began looking through the pictures. They started talking about what they saw and then worked together to build their own version of a building using blocks. They even went back to the book to compare their structure to the pictures. It was wonderful to see them using the book as inspiration for their play and learning.\r\nWhen the students first saw the new books, they were very excited. Many of them immediately grabbed books and sat with friends to flip through the pages. Some students who don't usually visit the library area were excited to discover books in other centers, which encouraged more reading and curiosity across the classroom.\r\nBecause of these new resources, we are able to continue building literacy throughout all areas of our classroom. Our next steps include using the books to support our classroom studies and encouraging children to retell stories, make connections, and explore topics through play. The books will also help us continue building language, imagination, and a love of reading in our young learners.\r\nYour generosity has truly made a difference in our classroom.
