I am continually awestruck.\r\n\r\nThe boards arrived and were an instant hit with the students. Many of them said how easy it was to come to the carpet with just one item instead of having to grab a white board, expo marker, and eraser. This project provided twenty-two books from the Pout Pout Fish series. This series was one that I only had one book in my classroom library. Many of my students were asking me when I would be buying more of the series because our local community library never had this series for checkout. \r\n\r\nReading in my classroom is found in many ways! Early in the year, we will do teacher/student support and as the year progresses, reading becomes student led with partner readings and small group student led reading. \r\n\r\nI currently have 16 students in my classroom and of those 16, I have 12 that can read on a 1st grade level. \r\n\r\nFinally, as the books started to arrive, their eyes brightened and were very excited to see the new additions to our library. Every book has been read from cover to cover in the 3 days that we have had them in the library.
