Jones chapter books. The students were able to pick apart each of the different characters. They were able to see how the characters developed throughout the story and how those characters changed from the beginning of the story to the end of the story.\r\n\r\n 

The students were also able to develop the plot of the story which helped them determine the major and minor conflicts of each character and the story as a whole. They were amazed to see how even though the story had a major conflict each character had their own conflict to solve. 

\r\n\r\nBy having the opportunity to read the book and take the book apart in this way the students were then able to apply that knowledge to the books they were reading on their own.
