Your generosity has had an immediate impact on the children we serve every day.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, students were excited to explore the new resources. They couldn't wait to try the games, use the sensory tools, and get started on outdoor projects.\r\n\r\nSince receiving these materials, they have become an important part of our daily routines. Students across grades K-5 use fidgets to help maintain focus during learning activities. The sensory swing is used throughout the day to support students who need movement and sensory breaks, while puzzles provide a calming activity for students who need time to regulate and reset. Our games have been wonderful tools for teaching social-emotional skills such as problem-solving, turn-taking, communication, and managing frustration.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite projects has been using the gardening supplies to beautify the grounds around Cooper Mountain. Students have taken pride in helping keep our campus clean and welcoming while learning the value of teamwork and caring for their community.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using these resources to help students build self-regulation skills, strengthen peer relationships, and stay engaged in learning. They find so much joy in using a variety of art supplies. We just used the new oil pastels to create some fun pumpkin art for the hallway.\r\n\r\nThe new books has been fantastic. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the high interest new books, and the students and I appreciate the variety. My hope is that I have enough books to peek each students' interests so I can get them hooked on reading and find a real joy in reading. \r\n\r\nAlso, thank you for the random assortment of supplies for the classroom. A vacuum in the classroom is helpful for those crushed up snacks and deter little creatures. The students also just used the fancy new pencil sharpener for the very first time.
