They have discovered Wilbur, Matilda, and Charlie so far. They are exploring new and exciting stories and places, meeting characters who feel like friends, and traveling to worlds far beyond the walls of our classroom. For many of my students, these books represent more than just stories — they are gateways to imagination, curiosity, and confidence.\r\n\r\nStudents are developing such a love of reading. They are excited for guided reading centers and genuinely crave knowing what happens next. I hear, \"Can we read more?\" and \"What happens tomorrow?\" every single day. Some students rush through their work so they can get back to the book. Others carefully reread favorite pages, noticing details they missed the first time. These moments may seem small, but for my students, they are powerful victories.\r\n\r\nYOU did that for them.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students now have access to high-quality, engaging chapter books that meet them where they are and challenge them to grow. Many of my students receive special education services and require additional support to build reading stamina, comprehension, and confidence. Before this project, sustained reading felt overwhelming for some. Now, with books that truly capture their interest, students are motivated to persevere, problem-solve, and believe in themselves as readers.\r\n\r\nThese stories have transformed our guided reading centers. Students eagerly participate in discussions, make predictions, describe characters, and connect events in the stories to their own lives. They are learning that reading isn't just about decoding words — it's about understanding, empathy, and joy. Watching students light up when they recognize themselves in a character or proudly explain a plot point to a peer is a reminder of why access to books matters so deeply.\r\n\r\nYour donation also supports creativity and imagination in ways that extend far beyond reading time. Students draw scenes from the stories, write about their favorite characters, and act out moments from the books during free choice activities. These books have become part of our classroom culture. They are shared, discussed, laughed over, and treasured.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support has helped my students see themselves as readers. That identity shift is priceless. When a child believes they can read — and even better, that reading can be enjoyable — it changes their relationship with learning as a whole. Confidence grows, frustration decreases, and students are more willing to take risks in all academic areas.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and investing in their futures. Thank you for supporting their creativity, imagination, and love of learning. Because of you, my classroom is filled with curiosity, excitement, and the magic that only a good book can bring. We truly could not have done this without you, and your kindness will continue to impact my students long after the final page is turned.","fullyFundedDate":1760702301214,"projectUrl":"project/adventures-in-literacy/9622301/","projectTitle":"Adventures in Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jessica","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3745728_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1623354252935","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-gravesfirstgrade"},{"teacherId":3745728,"projectId":8647872,"letterContent":"Your generous donation toward diversifying our art program for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder has made an incredible impact — not just in one classroom, but across our entire school community.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, our students now have access to a wider range of creative materials, adaptive tools, and inclusive opportunities to express themselves through art. For many of our students, art is more than just a subject — it's a safe, joyful outlet for communication, emotional expression, and discovery. Your support helps make that magic possible.\r\n\r\nI've already seen the spark in their eyes as they explore new textures, colors, and techniques — students who may struggle with words, but who now have a beautiful, sensory-friendly space where their creativity can shine. You've given them that gift. You've shown them that their voices matter.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of every child whose imagination has been ignited and every staff member inspired by your generosity — thank you.
