From the moment the Chromebooks arrived, our students were filled with excitement and enthusiasm. They were especially thrilled to discover that the new devices were touchscreen, making them more interactive, engaging, and accessible for a variety of classroom activities. For many of our students, having a brand-new device to use in the classroom felt like a special opportunity and helped create a renewed excitement about learning.\r\n\r\nThe Chromebooks have quickly become an important part of our daily instruction. Students are using them to research topics, complete assignments, practice academic skills, create presentations and projects, collaborate with classmates, and access educational programs and resources that support their individual learning needs. The touchscreen capability has been particularly helpful for interactive activities and allows students to engage with lessons in a hands-on way. Having reliable, up-to-date technology available has also allowed us as teachers to expand what we can accomplish in the classroom and provide students with more opportunities to explore, create, communicate, and demonstrate their understanding.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these Chromebooks have helped our students become more confident and independent learners. We have seen increased engagement and excitement when students are able to use technology as a tool to support their learning. This donation has given us the ability to incorporate meaningful technology experiences into our instruction while helping prepare our students with digital skills they will need in the future. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity that made this possible.
