These new books have opened a whole new world for many of my students. By finding books that were series books that are carried in our library, most of my students continued reading the series after we started them. We were able to study a variety of genres and cover a multitude of TEKS throughout the novel units. I had a handful of reluctant readers who actually began to enjoy reading by being introduced to different genres. I had parents reach out to tell me how their child had begun reading for fun, which was new for them. Reading for fun or reading for school and enjoying it, was all part of getting new novels, and that is what this donation allowed for my classes. It was a true blessing!","fullyFundedDate":1727997439952,"projectUrl":"project/raising-remarkable-readers/8451741/","projectTitle":"Raising Remarkable Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kracmer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp6140093_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1544583635116","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6140093"},{"teacherId":9416781,"projectId":8994277,"letterContent":"Thank you for this gift that our students earned through their participation in the Cotton Bowl Classic Art Contest.
