The addition of the tripods, powered speaker, and smartphone gimbals have elevated both the quality of student projects and their overall learning experience. Students are not only practicing technical skills like camera stability, audio control, and shot composition, but they are also gaining confidence in producing polished, real-world content.\r\n\r\nThe technology is helping students learn by allowing them to move beyond basic projects and into more advanced filmmaking techniques. The tripod provides the stability needed for clean, professional shots, while while also having the features to pan and tilt allowing students to follow the action without the shaky side effects. The gimbal allows students to experiment with smooth motion and dynamic storytelling as they are moving along with their subjects. These tools give students hands-on experience with equipment similar to what is used in the industry, helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.\r\n\r\nOne of the most impactful additions was the speaker, which we used during our annual Film Festival. In previous years, we struggled with audio that was not loud enough, and when we increased the volume, the sound would become distorted. This year, thanks to the new speaker, the audio was clear and powerful throughout the entire event. It made a significant difference in how the films were experienced and helped create a more professional and enjoyable atmosphere for our students, families, and guests.","fullyFundedDate":1763610569978,"projectUrl":"project/keep-it-steady/9888070/","projectTitle":"Keep It Steady","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Huicochea","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5096267_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1516840503652","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5096267"},{"teacherId":9444454,"projectId":9887694,"letterContent":"The girls were so excited when they received their journals. We spent the first day with our journals decorating them with the stickers and making their covers personal to them. They loved the funny stickers and trading them with eachother to get a specific sticker they really wanted. \r\n\r\nWe use our journals weekly to create SMART goals for their grades, and take notes on lessons. Our latest lesson was on self-esteem. After teaching the girls about self-esteem and after taking a self assessment, the girls practiced building self-esteem by writing in their journals 5 things to celebrate themselves. While thinking positively is a challenge sometimes, the girls all succeeded in finding 5 things to celebrate. The girls wrote things like, I am good at softball, I am funny, I am proud of keeping my grades up this quarter, I am a good friend, etc. \r\n\r\nThe journals remain at school where I am able to read their responses and get a better insight of what the girls are going through. We had a lesson on body image last week and the girls used their journals to reflect on the messages they recieve daily from themselves, peers and family members. Some girls are more quiet in class and struggle to share readily, so reading their thoughts instead is helpful to me and our counselor so we can help in any way needed. \r\n\r\nThe journals have been a great edition to our class.","fullyFundedDate":1765568169006,"projectUrl":"project/journals-for-self-reflection-and-growth/9887694/","projectTitle":"Journals for Self Reflection and Growth","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cavallo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9444454"},{"teacherId":10335851,"projectId":9864859,"letterContent":"When I told my students our project was fully funded in a week, they were cheering with excitement. Everyday leading up to our grand opening, they were asking when we would get to start the café. As the items started to arrive in my classroom, the excitement was building even more. We had a list of things we needed to complete before we started the café. \r\n\r\nMy class put together a business plan to present to our principal which included our goals, objectives, prices of the items and what we expected to see with our business to show that we have been successful. My students used their math skills to figure out what a reasonable price would be to charge for the products they are selling. \r\n\r\nMy students were beyond excited to pick their jobs for the café and get started. The Friday came where we had our grand opening of our Falcon Café. It was a busy but organized class period with students writing down orders at the computer, others calculating the customers totals, a couple students recording what items were purchased, a group working together to make the coffee and tea drinks, others communicating about what cold drinks to stock the cart with and other students were waiting their turns to do their assigned jobs. Once the cart was fully stocked and ready for deliveries, the delivery and cashier teams were ready for their turn. These teams walked around to the staff, delivered their orders, told teachers their totals, counted money, made change and used their communication skills as they interacted with staff in the classrooms. Once all orders were delivered, the class reconvened to count our earnings. Each student figured out what our profit was for the day. As the bell rang for the class period to end, there was still a buzz of excitement as they walked out of the door. I heard students talking about their jobs, their interactions with staff and commenting on how much fun the café was. I had one student tell me that she was so nervous about counting the money to the teachers but was excited because she \"did a good job and didn't really mess up\".\r\n\r\nThis project that was funded is bringing valuable opportunities to my math class. It is so wonderful to see the excitement from my students, the engagement in this activity and their growing confidence. They are all looking forward to Fridays when they get to give this service to staff members of this school and practice their math skills with practical application.\r\nWe could not have done this without your help and generosity.
