Your gift is already making a meaningful difference in our STEAM classrooms.\r\n\r\nMany of our donors use technology at home, but what makes these tools so powerful in school is how students use them. Bee Bots introduce foundational coding and problem-solving in a hands-on way. Students aren't just pressing buttons—they're learning to plan steps, test ideas, revise their thinking, and work collaboratively. In our Makerspace, the tools you've funded allow students to design, build, and explore concepts like sequencing, measurement, engineering, and computational thinking in ways that feel like play but build deep academic skills.\r\n\r\nWe've also noticed that the technology has opened doors for students who don't always shine in traditional classroom settings. One student who is often hesitant to participate has become a classroom expert at debugging Bee Bot paths—calmly helping peers figure out where their code needs adjustment. Another student who struggles with written tasks has been thriving with building materials, showing incredible spatial reasoning and creativity when designing her own challenges for classmates.\r\n\r\nYour support is empowering students to explore, take risks, and develop confidence in STEM. Thank you for believing in their potential and helping us build a vibrant, hands-on learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1755697128476,"projectUrl":"project/little-makers-big-ideas-launching-our/9529031/","projectTitle":"Little Makers, Big Ideas: Launching Our K–2 Maker Space","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. RL","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10109059"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_71225","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":344,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":69,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":27,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"9.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":43.5,"schoolId":71225,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Codman Academy Charter Public School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Codman Academy Charter Public School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/massachusetts/massachusetts-department-of-education/codman-academy-charter-public-school/71225"}
