The students frequently use all of the items and even drop in in-between classes when they need something. \r\n\r\nNot only do the students appreciate these items, but the teachers love the convenience of having them readily available too! Having feminine products and bandages in the room has greatly cut back on the amount of students needing to go to the nurse (which requires students to walk two floors down and to the opposite side of the building!). They were also very impressed with the mini Vaseline jars! \r\n\r\nHowever, the most surprising thing to me was how many students use and appreciate the glasses and deodorant wipes. With your help, my students have had the incredible opportunity to observe and care for trout from the very beginning of their life cycle. Every day, they eagerly check on the tank, monitor water quality, and document changes as the trout grow. This hands-on experience has deepened their understanding of ecosystems, life cycles, and environmental responsibility in a way that textbooks simply cannot. One of the most exciting moments was when the students first spotted the tiny trout eggs hatching—there were cheers, gasps, and an immediate flurry of questions about what would happen next!\r\n\r\nNow that the trout are growing, students are tracking their development, measuring water conditions, and learning about conservation efforts. As we move forward, we will study how human actions impact aquatic ecosystems and discuss ways to protect local waterways. The anticipation is building as we prepare for the final step—releasing the trout into a local stream, where students will see firsthand how their efforts contribute to the environment. Your generosity has made this meaningful experience possible, and we are truly grateful for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1735407850373,"projectUrl":"project/trout-in-the-classroom-help-us-become-w/9003794/","projectTitle":"Trout in the Classroom, Help us Become Watershed Stewards","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Russell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2653871_orig.jpg?crop=1491,1491,x655,y836&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714737692279","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-rusell"},{"teacherId":7259046,"projectId":8978608,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity in providing my students with the basic supplies they need to be successful in math! Many students use the supply center daily and especially appreciate the pencils and pencil sharpener. We also use the sticky notes a lot to make notes in our books and also for quick activities where they don't need a full sheet of paper. Having had to use homemade glue sponges earlier this year, the students also value the glue sticks a lot! Each student has a composition notebook that they use for classroom notes and almost always need to glue in a page, image, or graph.\r\n\r\nIt is a great feeling for students to know that when they come into our classroom, they will have everything they need to be a productive student!
