We have had some cold weather the past few weeks and I have been able to add new toys to our classroom to entertain, stimulate, and challenge my students. \r\n One of the first toys I shared were some snap robots. The children were so engrossed on how the snaps worked and what kinds of robots they could build. I was able to watch as the children helped each other create several different styles of Robots.\r\n They have also been creating with magnetic cubes, waffle blocks that have doors and windows as well as other manipulatives that have encouraged them to share, build and work together on creative designs. The items have stimulated their language, dexterity and artistry. \r\n I also received a few items for our cozy corner. I added some stuffed animals with sequence for sensory as well as for comfort. The children love to take some quiet time and hold and pet these additions to our class.
