I have been spending a lot of time this year updating the books in the library so students can have more choices for the grade level biography research projects. It is important to me to have recent updated and current biography books. Students learned how to take notes and do paper and pencil research which is a library and language arts standard for our school district and state. \r\nStudents enjoyed the books and other schools in our district can also enjoy the biography books through library loan. Students spent time researching the famous person they chose and the biographies helped so much with the class assignments.\r\nMy students are grateful for donors like you and we are thankful you chose our project.","fullyFundedDate":1758828829998,"projectUrl":"project/contemporary-biographies-with-who-is/9554761/","projectTitle":"Contemporary Biographies With Who Is?","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rawalt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5319946_orig.jpg?crop=1524,1524,x224,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1775960753815","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5319946"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_57660","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":304,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":29,"percentBlack":37,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":61.9,"schoolId":57660,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Claude Huyck Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Claude Huyck Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/kansas-city-kansas-city-public-schools/claude-huyck-elementary-school/57660"}
