The map carpet has been an absolute game-changer in our classroom. We recently kicked off a geography unit, and the students were beyond excited when they first saw the carpet. It's creative, interactive, and has really brought the world to life in a way that our previous materials simply couldn't.\r\n\r\nOne of the first activities we did was a \"world tour\" scavenger hunt. I hid small pictures of landmarks from different countries around the classroom and challenged the students to find them using the map on the carpet. The kids were buzzing with excitement as they raced around, identifying countries and learning about the landmarks. Some of them were even teaching each other where certain places were, which was a beautiful thing to see.\r\n\r\nNext, we're diving into a project where each student will choose a country they want to learn more about. Using the map, they'll locate their country, research it, and then create a presentation on its culture, geography, and history. The carpet is serving as both a visual aid and an interactive tool for the students to connect the information they're learning with the places they're studying.\r\n\r\nThe next step in the project is for the students to begin working on their presentations, incorporating both written and creative elements. They'll be using the map to identify key locations and learn more about the countries they're focusing on. The map carpet has made the entire process so much more engaging, and the students are thrilled to continue exploring the world through it.\r\n\r\nI can't thank you enough for making this project possible!
