All of these have helped my students during times when they were feeling overwhelmed or anxiety ridden. These have also given my students positive outlets for the extra energy they have while sitting and needing to focus. My students have been able to take ownership of their own emotions as they continue to build better self-regulation. Not only in the moment, but during times when they are not experiencing fight or flight symptoms. \r\n\r\nTransition times have been difficult for some of my students, and the puzzle toys and stress balls have helped to make transitions easier for all. They have been able to focus on the physical items in hand which allowed their brains to not focus on the things and situations that were causing the high stress during transitioning periods throughout the day. This has also helped with less distractions in my classroom, as students who need the tactile and kinesthetic options are able to absorb more instrutction while simultaneously moving the fidgets in their hands. \r\n\r\nThese have been fantastic tools already this year, and have helped so many of my students already.
