My students and I are truly grateful to everyone who contributed to funding these books. Your support has given my AP English Literature and Composition students more opportunities to explore meaningful stories, develop their reading skills, and discover the joy of reading.\r\n\r\nThese books will be an important part of our learning throughout the school year. Through reading and discussing these texts, my students will strengthen their reading comprehension, critical thinking, literary analysis, and writing skills. They will also explore different cultures, perspectives, and human experiences, helping them develop empathy, appreciate diverse voices, and better understand the world around them.\r\n\r\nSeeing my students' excitement when they first saw the books was such a rewarding moment. I was especially happy to see their enthusiasm and growing love for reading. We are currently reading The Kite Runner, and all of my students are enjoying it. One student even approached me and shared that she does not usually get hooked on books easily, but The Kite Runner was different. Hearing that made me even more excited about what we can accomplish together this school year!\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is more than just turning pages. It is about asking questions, sharing ideas, making connections, discussing characters and their choices, and reflecting on the deeper meanings of a story. These books give my students opportunities to think beyond the text, express their opinions, and connect what they read to real-life experiences. I look forward to seeing how each new book inspires their curiosity and encourages them to become more confident, thoughtful, and independent readers.\r\n\r\nI believe that reading can make a lasting difference in students' lives. It can strengthen their communication skills, broaden their perspectives, spark their imagination, and help them become more understanding of others. Most importantly, I hope these books will inspire my students to see reading not simply as a school requirement, but as a lifelong habit that can open doors to new knowledge, opportunities, and personal growth.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for believing in our students and investing in their education. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in our classroom, and I am excited to continue this reading journey with my students.
