The kids loved turning this book into a mini-play. For the book The Noisy Paint Box, I showed students the link between music and art. Students learned about the famous artist Kandinsky and his artwork. Students each made an abstract circle to mimic his painting Color Study—squares with Concentric Circles. I then put all of the student's circles into a collage. I am planning to make more connections between music and art. \r\n\r\nMy students also loved the Barefoot books Earth Song, Boogie in the Bronx!, and Rooftop Garden. All of the songs were fun to sing and had catchy tunes. I am so grateful that I got to share these books with my students. This would not have been possible without your generous donation.
