During independent reading time, students choose a book from our new library collection and settle into a comfortable space with the cozy pillows. The sensory toys have been especially helpful during small group instruction and quiet work time, allowing students to stay focused and regulated while they learn. One special moment that stood out was seeing a student who usually struggles to stay engaged sit calmly with a book, using a sensory tool, and remain focused for the entire session—something that was previously very challenging.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and genuine. They couldn't wait to explore the new books and were thrilled to have flexible, comfortable seating options. Many of them expressed how \"special\" and \"relaxing\" the space felt, and it has truly helped create a welcoming and supportive classroom atmosphere.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we are continuing to build strong reading habits and independence.
