For many of our students, this was their first opportunity to safely ride and practice these skills. Seeing their smiles, hearing their cheers, and watching them encourage one another made it clear just how meaningful these resources are.\r\n\r\nThe bikes and scooters have transformed recess on our asphalt playground. Instead of students sitting around or struggling to find something to do, they are moving, playing, and learning together. Students are developing balance, coordination, confidence, and gross motor skills while also practicing important social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and encouraging their classmates.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue helping students build their riding skills and independence. We will practice safe riding, taking turns, and caring for our equipment so that students can enjoy these resources for years to come. Your generosity has provided our students with an experience many of them may not otherwise have outside of school. Thank you for giving our students a safe place to play, learn, and simply enjoy being kids!","fullyFundedDate":1471739117005,"projectUrl":"project/biking-around-the-playground/2114288/","projectTitle":"Biking Around the Playground","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tschumakow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3205257_orig.jpg?crop=1320,1320,x0,y514&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1789407958359","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/devon-t"},{"teacherId":3205257,"projectId":1829968,"letterContent":"Our new class set of headphones has already made a wonderful difference for our students! When they first saw the headphones, they were excited to know that everyone would have their own pair to use during technology-based activities. Having enough headphones for the entire class allows students to focus on their own learning without being distracted by sound from other devices.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the headphones during interactive literacy activities, educational games, research, and other digital learning experiences. One of my favorite moments has been watching students independently listen to stories and activities at their own pace while staying focused and engaged.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue using the headphones during library lessons that incorporate technology, research, and digital literacy. They will be able to listen to read-alouds, explore educational resources, and complete interactive activities independently.
