Your generosity helped us purchase a classroom vacuum, Velcro for displaying important visual supports, and scent oils to help maintain a fresh environment during daily incontinence and personal care routines.\r\n\r\nOur classroom serves students with a wide range of physical, communication, and daily living needs. Some of our students receive total dependent care and spend time on classroom carpets and mats for mobility breaks, positioning, and learning activities. Our occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech providers also use these areas during student sessions. Because our carpets are not vacuumed daily, staff have often swept them with a broom between cleanings. Having our own vacuum will allow us to keep these important spaces cleaner while also helping reduce crumbs and debris that may attract mice.
