The males in my choir were in awe that I had musical theatre book just for them- (they are used to the females having their own stuff, but they rarely do, so for them, this was an unexpected surprise.) The males were also surprised when they opened the book and there were not only solos but also duets. \r\n\r\nI recently attended a conference. While I was away, I left an assignment for the students- they had to select one of the songs from the musical theatre books and do a score study, character analysis, and have the song ready to sing in front of me when I returned.
