For so many years our auditorium has gone without being repainted or remodeled in any way shape or form and now we are on the way to making our auditorium look brand new! Soon our auditorium will be painted by a wonderful artist who has already done, beautiful and amazing murals throughout the whole school and now when that painting is done, we will be able to hang our beautiful new banners to really show off our drive and passion to have our kids follow their dreams and become whatever they want to be in life. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generous, and kind hearts! We know that this will really make an impact that will last a lifetime. These banners will stand as symbols of what our students are capable of and what they can and will achieve! My class looks forward to PE now every Friday! There have been friendships that have formed between my students and the students in the general education class. When I opened the box they called out with excitement because they knew what it meant. It meant that they would be able to play Bringing Down the House with the general education class. We also have used the balls to practice their throwing. We have improved our form and accuracy.","fullyFundedDate":1766105523204,"projectUrl":"project/main-streaming-joy/9789909/","projectTitle":"Main Streaming Joy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Macris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10300139"},{"teacherId":1294219,"projectId":9661066,"letterContent":"Restarting our Reading Record program was not going to be easy. Our program had stopped a few years back and students were not reading for fun on a regular basis. Our tests scores had shown a decrease in English Language Arts last year, so I knew that getting students motivated to read was going to be a process. Our first month of reading record percentages was tough to see. Most classes had less than 20% of their students reading everyday. \r\n\r\nOur students needed some motivation and incentives, but I wanted to reward them with items that would also play a role in their learning to enjoy reading again, and in their improvement of their fluency skills. The items such as bookmarks, book lights, and reading trackers were such a delight to see them in use. Our percentage has begun to improve and students are beginning to enjoy reading again. I am looking forward to testing season and am confident that we will start to see an improvement in our English Language Arts!
