The simplest way to do so is to incorporate color. A color printer is an invaluable resource to an Early Education teacher and since receiving it, I have been able to create so my exciting visuals for my students that they enjoy interacting with. \r\n\r\nOur classroom printer has helped me to create calming visual cue cards for our Calming Area, a very important space in our classroom. Students enjoy being able to look at pictures of emotions so they can choose the one that matches their feelings. We use student photos for a variety of reasons and students love being able to find their picture, in full color, whenever they are in use. They even enjoy helping me print materials and seeing the finished product come from the printer, they are convinced it is magic!\r\n\r\nMaterials made from this color printer are used as part of our routines on a daily basis. It has become a crucial part of my lesson planning. A sensory table provides a space that promotes collaboration between friends, encourages conversations, and invites curiosity. It is also a place where students can find calm and relaxation.\r\n\r\nSince the sensory table has been added to our classroom, I have observed children working together to figure out how to build a sandcastle, playing alongside one another while they make shapes using cookie cutters and sand molds, and using their imaginations to believe that the play sand in the table is water for their sea creature figures to live in. one shy student was able to make a new friend through playing at the sand table together. These two friends made pretend food for another one, using sand tools and molds as plates, cups, and spoons. They still make the sensory table one of their first choices during play.\r\n\r\nChildren learn through play and when we give them the tools to explore and interact with one another, we give them opportunities to grow.
