The iPod and speaker will help students learn different genres of music. I use music to teach rhyming, movement, and control. We listen to all different types of music and move to different rhythms. Specifically for 3-5 years old children, it is difficult to exhibit body control. Using music to practice moving slow, fast, and stop is a wonderful way to develop this skill. Music also helps children with rhyming and phonetic sounds. Children will sing along to the music and they are practicing rhymes and letter sounds. Music is one of the best ways to teach young children.
