The food has been useful especially if a student didn't get the opportunity to grab breakfast or didn't get a chance to eat. \r\n\r\nThe dry erase boards have been used to give students opportunities to do their work standing during their 85-minute classes. They also have been used to make classes more interactive. The donations of pencils allow students not to worry about not having something to write with.\r\n\r\nThe fidget toys have also helped students to remain focus during their 85 minutes during class or just to calm down when they get frustrated. The games have helped students come out of their shell during NEST which is similar to a homeroom. The math books that were received were helpful to create math practice sections that can be broken down based on a student's skill level to help them build on previous knowledge and build those basic skills.\r\n\r\nMy students and I are beyond grateful and appreciate everything that was donated in order to make this school year extra special. It has been a crazy year and the materials you have provided have helped provide my students with an outlet and a distraction from the stressors of the day-to-day. My students especially love playing the card games you donated. They are great for vocabulary building, practicing spoken English in a meaningful context and of course, building relationships with their classmates. I love that the kids have a colorful, relaxing space when they come to my desk to work one-on-one with me. I am sure as our space evolves the materials you provided will come to even greater use.
