The shopping baskets have been wonderful for pretend play, where children practice new vocabulary, learn about food groups, and work together as shoppers and cashiers. The soft blocks have sparked creativity as students build together, sharing ideas and learning to take turns. The pocket charts help us keep our centers organized so children can move smoothly from one activity to the next. Already, these resources have made learning more joyful and engaging. Next, we will use the storytelling sets and blocks to create our own class story, allowing students to design, act, and share with families. My students are able to strengthen their fine motor skills by connecting and disconnecting the manipulatives.
