You probably can not imagine how much an impact you have made in my class. As a teacher who is usually in an elementary setting, I am used to students who are excited to be in different parts of the classroom and explore. Middle school students are not as motivated as younger students. I needed all the help I could get to make reading inviting and enjoyable. \r\n\r\nThe students were elated when they saw they could enjoy reading in this comfortable space. Imagine little kids opening a present and being full of surprise on their birthday. These pre-teens returned the pure enjoyment of finding something new in the classroom. \r\n\r\nI use the library as a motivation. The students sit in the bean bag chair and feel at ease when reading. They are able to enjoy and relax stories. They love using the bean bag chairs, it is a welcome change from sitting upright in metal chairs. I noticed the students' willingness to read increases in the bean bags.
