They were able to see themselves in the text. We had great discussions and completed activities using these wonderful books. \r\nMany of the donated books I had weren't very culturally diverse and didn't reflect the demographics of my classroom. These texts are funny and teach many life lessons as we sit around the carpet and discuss them.\r\n\r\n\r\nMay of my students also started to read these books on their own.
