One of our favorite moments happened during our recent nature walk: a student who usually has to stay behind was finally able to join the group. The entire class lit up when they saw their friend participating alongside them—it was a beautiful reminder of how much inclusion matters.\r\nWhen the stroller first arrived, the students were so excited. They gathered around it immediately, touching the handles and asking questions about who would get to ride. The children who will use it most were especially joyful, smiling and clapping because they knew this new resource was meant to help them feel safe, supported, and included in our activities.\r\nAs for next steps, we are continuing a unit focused on community exploration and outdoor observation. With the stroller, all students can now take part in these learning experiences. We'll be using it to help children build independence during transitions, access sensory-rich environments, and participate more fully in hands-on lessons. This new resource ensures that every child can be part of our classroom adventures, and we are grateful for the opportunity to make learning more accessible for all.","fullyFundedDate":1761674253222,"projectUrl":"project/strolling-and-rolling/9830814/","projectTitle":"Strolling and Rolling...","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sayre","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7482601_orig.png?crop=422,422,x117,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1654726111066","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7482601"},{"teacherId":7482601,"projectId":9741839,"letterContent":"We are so thankful for the different materials that we received from this project. Our extra iPads had great protector that is also easy to use for those student's who are having difficulty in holding it. The wobble cushion gives some of my students who needs a flexible seating for them and still participate in our large group activities. We have different fidgets that they can choose from according to what the child prefers to use it when needed. My students were so excited when each one saw that they have their notebooks and we put their pictures on the cover to make it more personalized for each child. After each child did their self portrait, I sent a picture to their parents. They are all so proud of their work. And I am so proud of them working hard to finish the task. We will keep using this until the end of school year, and our next activity will be making a Halloween theme activity.
