With the growing size of our school, your donation is now supporting materials for 546 students at Champion! These supplies are used with Kindergarten all the way through 5th grade. \r\nThe photos attached are just brief snapshots into our year so far! We have had 19 artists featured in our annual Halifax Art Festival, many of which used the materials you generously supported. Each student at school has created at least two pieces of artwork at this point in the year; your contribution has supported the creation of over 1100 pieces of artwork already this year. This is only November, and we are 4 months into our school year. The rest of the year will be full of more amazing art!\r\nMy students were incredibly grateful to have the supplies! I apologize for the delay in submitting this impact report! We have been in the midst of testing season, as well as our Spring Break.\r\nI will be honest with part of supplies that were purchased-the light table materials have been purchased but we have not yet had the opportunity to use them. My light box is not currently working, and needs a part replaced. If I am unable to get it replaced, I can use the light box buttons and pieces for a different sensory based project, but this is where we are at, at the moment. \r\nThe different textured block toys have been amazing for my visually impaired students, and for several of my students who also heavily stim with objects. These are soft, have fun and different textures, and are easy to clean. They've been a game changer, because they also don't hurt when they hit you-if a student gets overstimulated and throws them.\r\nLastly, I want to thank you for the paint and dough texture tools! These have been the favorite tool to use for everything, by almost every student. We have used them to paint with, to create textures in playdoh and clay, and to use in multiple projects so far this year. I look forward to sharing some photos of how things turned out.","fullyFundedDate":1734646058617,"projectUrl":"project/multi-sensory-experiences-in-art/8990714/","projectTitle":"Multi Sensory Experiences in Art","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Warren","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5607654_orig.jpg?crop=1920,1920,x0,y320&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722799494489","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/heymrsart"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_47459","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":533,"numTeachers":54,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":29,"percentWhite":42,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":60.4,"schoolId":47459,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Champion Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Champion Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/volusia-county-schools/champion-elementary-school/47459"}
