We did a grand unboxing together. They helped me set up each unit as all the letters had to be punched out. I then just let them explore it! Ultimately, it was a little too visually busy for my kinders so I tweaked it to make it fit my needs. Now I have a product that can be differentiated! I can uncover the original format for my advanced students while also being able to simplify it for the ones that are struggling.\r\n\r\nHaving a product with letters that they can manipulate has made such an impact on those that were struggling. The curriculum we use came with chaining folders made of cardboard with flat plastic sleeves to place the letters. The letters were paper and very difficult to pick up and manipulate. The whole thing tore up after the first year! Now I have letters that are thick and chunky for small fingers making them so easy to pick up! The whole thing is magnetic so clumsy pockets! It folds in half and snaps shut for ease of storage. My entire class and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.","fullyFundedDate":1769374150994,"projectUrl":"project/letter-chaining-our-way-to-reading-and-w/9810143/","projectTitle":"Letter Chaining Our Way To Reading and Writing!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ash","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10306210"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_17105","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":433,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":54,"percentWhite":10,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":49.4,"schoolId":17105,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Central Park Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Central Park Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/louisiana/bossier-parish-school-district/central-park-elementary-school/17105"}
