The snack cart definitely has made the biggest impression on the students because it's something I didn't have in the past, and they are all very motivated by snacks! At the end of class that very first day, when students pushed their chairs back as the bell rang, the scraping sounds that normally filled the room were almost completely gone. Even substitute teachers and colleagues have commented on the noticeable difference in noise levels and the calmer atmosphere.\r\n\r\nThese resources are making an impact in ways that often go unseen but matter deeply for student learning. Our English Language Learners are better able to hear instruction and participate in discussions without competing with constant background noise.
