With your support, we have been able to buy these awesome little robots: Ozobots. These are fun robots that can be \"coded\" using colors or by using Blockly coding. They are simple enough for younger students to use, but complex enough that older students have fun with them as well! All of the students are excited to learn new ways to make their little robot move around. \r\nThis past Thanksgiving, all of our GT students contributed to our Thanksgiving Break Parade. Parade floats, balloons, and other items all were a part of the parade, but our second graders made balloons based off of their favorite book characters. They then were able to make a parade using their characters! They had the BEST time learning to code and move their characters along the parade route. \r\nI am so excited to see what else our students can accomplish and learn with these robots! \r\nAgain, thank you SO much for investing in our students. My hope is that they are inspired and encouraged to hone their skills and interests or learn something new that they never thought they could.","fullyFundedDate":1743447343706,"projectUrl":"project/flynntastic-minds-can-flex-with-ozobots/9178461/","projectTitle":"Flynntastic Minds Can Flex with Ozobots!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Flynn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5854427_orig.png?crop=499,499,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1740756312874","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5854427"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_12619","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":483,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":46,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":67,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":12619,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Central Heights Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Central Heights Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/central-heights-independent-school-district/central-heights-elementary-school/12619"}
