The rugs that were donated have had a huge impact on our day-to-day learning. The students were so excited to see all of the individualized circles our new large rug had. Some students were even counting the circles and expressing how excited they were to have their very own circle to sit on. Having these individualized circles has given each student more personal space to listen, learn, and safely move their bodies during brain break activities. The black and white colors are calming and allow for educational resources to stand out, not only on the carpet, but in other areas of the room as well. \r\n The smaller of the two rugs has given us an additional area in the room to explore centers and listen to stories. It's a calm addition to the room, allowing children a comfortable place to sit versus the hard floor.
