When I got notified that my project was completely funded, I took time out of our morning meeting to explain Donor's Choose. The students were so excited to hear that (mostly) strangers were giving to their classroom. One response was, \"They don't even know us, and they wanted us to have these things?\". As if I needed more of a reminder of how kind this donation was! \r\nWe had a long conversation about how to treat the materials, their purpose, and when is an appropriate time to use them. Since that conversation, they have been extremely respectful of the new materials and have thoroughly taken advantage of them. They especially love the weighted dinosaur and have named him Arnold. One of my favorite developments since receiving Arnold is how the students share him and offer him to each other when they notice someone having big feelings. It is evident that these materials have helped the students to regulate their emotions and seeing that they want to spread the love is so special!","fullyFundedDate":1733949343005,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-tools/8958287/","projectTitle":"Sensory Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Catanzarite","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9614918"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98632","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":496,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":32,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":79,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 2","studentTeacherRatio":"17.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":98632,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Center Grange Primary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Center Grange Primary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/pennsylvania/central-valley-school-district/center-grange-pimary-school/98632"}
