Approximately 60 special needs students have been able to benefit from opportunities throughout the day to generalize skills such as turn-taking, sharing, and communication in an environment outside the classroom.\r\n\r\nProviding an outlet to address sensory needs directly impacts our students' abilities to access their educational curriculum by preparing their minds and bodies for learning. The \"Indoor Playground\" has afforded students the opportunity to participate in activities that meet their diverse sensory needs and safely \"shake their sillies out\" so they can find success in each and every learning opportunity. The variety of equipment has allowed our students, who often get satiated on items, to have items rotated so that they remain effective and purposeful.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and generosity. The support that the students at The Center for Lifelong Learning received from the Donors Choose community is truly appreciated.
