Students are using the egg chair, rug, and calming tools as a place to decompress, refocus, or quietly work when they feel overwhelmed. Whether it's during independent work time, after a difficult moment, or while processing complex topics we discuss in class, the space gives students a structured and respectful way to regulate themselves and stay engaged in learning. The fidget tools and soft lighting have especially helped students who need movement or sensory support while still participating academically.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the space, their reactions were immediate and genuine—there was excitement, curiosity, and a sense that this was something made specifically for them. Several students commented that it felt \"safe,\" \"calm,\" or \"like a place where I can think.\" That initial response has carried over into how they use it now. Students are more willing to recognize when they need a moment to reset, and they return to their work more focused and ready to participate. It has helped create a classroom environment where students feel supported not just academically, but emotionally as well.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our current lessons and projects, this space is helping students build important skills like self-awareness, emotional regulation, and independence. They are learning how to manage stress, stay engaged with challenging material, and take ownership of their learning in a more meaningful way. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom culture, and it continues to benefit students every single day.
