It ignited a passion for reading that went beyond classroom requirements. Students who had never considered themselves \"readers\" became excited about books, competitive in the best way, and eager to discuss characters, plot twists, and themes.\r\n\r\nThe friendly competition gave them a sense of purpose and accountability—they weren't just reading for themselves, but for their team. It built community among students who might not have otherwise connected, and I saw their confidence grow as they answered questions and shared insights.\r\n\r\nMore than anything, Battle of the Books created a culture of reading in our school. Students were talking about books in the halls, encouraging others to read, and proudly carrying novels with them.
