It is one of our most checked out classics in the library. Thanks to you, our book club had the opportunity to read it TOGETHER, which provided not only a support system while reading but also a space to talk about this impactful novel! \r\n\r\nAt our final meetup, students gathered in a circle, sharing ideas, asking big questions, and really listening to one another. One of my favorite moments was our opening activity, where students shared books that had \"opened their eyes.\" They were so eager to talk and their recommendations to each other were very thoughtful and honestly a reminder of just how powerful reading can be. \r\n\r\nOur book club is a diverse group of readers and some of them don't always consider themselves \"readers.\" I truly believe the format made the story feel accessible. They weren't just following along, they were contributing and connecting. One student went back to our opening activity and listed 1984 as the book that opened their eyes. By the end of the meeting, students were creating shelf talkers to recommend books to others and talking about why the freedom to read matters.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us create this experience for our students!!! Your support didn't just put books in their hands, it helped build a community of readers who are thinking deeply and sharing that love of reading with others.","fullyFundedDate":1771444820820,"projectUrl":"project/exploring-the-classics-through-graphic-s/10102901/","projectTitle":"Exploring the Classics Through Graphic Storytelling","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ogden","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4780442_orig.jpg?crop=4480,4480,x0,y1120&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666033221213","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4780442"},{"teacherId":10441524,"projectId":10118659,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the incredibly generous donation to my project Thrifting.
