Probably the very best part is the number of students who told me, without prompting, that they really enjoyed the novel that they read. I had this group of boys who read Life As We Knew It, one of the books you purchased, and they were so engaged. They kept telling me about where they were and how they were surprised how much they liked it and cared about the characters. It was awesome.\r\n\r\nThe groups that read Station Eleven, another book you purchased, were so angry at me that we didn't have class time to view the show. The LOVED the book and I told them that I enjoyed the show even more, so then of course they were determined to watch it. I think most of them did at home. \r\n\r\nThey read their whole novels in two weeks. For many of them this was the fastest they had ever read a book and they really did it! \r\n\r\nWhen we finished they created bulletin boards around our school that were \"Detective Investigations Into Theme.\" They were really cool and each group had a unique perspective on the lessons to be learned from their novels.
