My music program has grown tremendously over the years because of outside support like Donors Choose. \r\n\r\nI acquired the class set of ukuleles about seven years ago from a Kala giveaway. It would have taken about seven years of classroom funds to purchase these instruments. The ukuleles are well loved and played almost daily by my older students. The strings were getting very worn.\r\n\r\nI have begun the tedious process of restringing and successfully completed seven, although they still need frequent tuning as the strings are stretching. I'm currently looking for more training opportunities to incorporate the drum skills in a large group setting.
