Many of our donors use technology at home, but you may not always get to see how powerfully it can transform a classroom. In our room, this new technology is helping students learn in ways that are more interactive, engaging, and personalized. They're able to explore concepts at their own pace, get immediate feedback, and collaborate with classmates in ways that simply weren't possible before.\r\nWhat excites our students most about the new product is how hands-on it feels. Instead of just watching or listening, they're actively creating, experimenting, and problem-solving. Every day I see their curiosity spark as they discover new features or make connections between what they're learning and the world around them.\r\nSome students, in particular, have truly blossomed with this addition. A few who are usually hesitant to participate have become more confident because the technology gives them new ways to express their ideas—whether through visuals, interactive activities, or creative projects. Others who are already tech-savvy have taken on leadership roles, helping classmates and showing impressive initiative.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has made all of this possible, and we are deeply grateful. The new books have truly transformed our classroom environment. My students are now eager to dive into independent reading time, and they often share their favorite parts of the stories with their classmates. These books have helped us strengthen important literacy skills like making inferences, identifying themes, and expanding vocabulary—all while encouraging students to see reading as something enjoyable and meaningful.\r\n\r\nDuring our reading blocks, students can often be found curled up with their chosen books, completely immersed in their stories. Many of them are using what they read to make connections to their own lives or to our class discussions. The variety of texts has also allowed me to introduce new lessons around character development, author's purpose, and comprehension strategies that challenge and inspire them.\r\n\r\nSome of my reluctant readers have shown the biggest changes. A few students who used to struggle to stay focused during reading time are now finishing entire books and asking for more! Seeing their pride and confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. Your donation has not only provided books but also opened doors to curiosity, imagination, and lifelong learning.","fullyFundedDate":1752249044588,"projectUrl":"project/turning-pages-changing-lives/9349439/","projectTitle":"Turning Pages, Changing Lives","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Alondra Torres","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9713652_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724865573811","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9713652"},{"teacherId":2458368,"projectId":8532767,"letterContent":"I can't begin to express my gratitude for your kind generosity.\r\n\r\nWhen we received our materials, I felt like a little kid opening Christmas presents. My students were full of joy as they helped me with opening all the boxes. We were learning about writing letters and I shared with them how impactful sharing our voice and the power of generosity have in our community. They learned that writing a simple letter can have a huge impact in our learning and that there are so many wonderful people willing to help us in our journey to become better students.\r\n\r\n My students have enjoyed all the wonderful resources that we have used this school year. Their favorite has been using the Doodle boards because we used them every day for different subjects. They were a great tool to use for word study, writing, and math to show our work in a neat way. We used our dice, or whiteboards, and our clear protectors for math stations every day. \r\n\r\nOverall, we used all the resources in a meaningful way and it allowed me to spend the money that I would have spent to be used in a different way like buying materials for class parties or celebrations.
