Getting comfortable in a new grade level this year has truly been an adventure, and I am so grateful for the items that I received because of your generous donations. My students are loving all the new imaginary play items they get to explore during free choice center time. I am often told, \"Mrs. Pieper, you need a haircut!\" as one my students leads me over to the kitchen wearing their beautician outfit and holding the plastic scissors. \r\n\r\nMy students are able to experience turn-taking, problem-solving, and social negotiation throughout their time dressing up and \"cooking\" meals for each other. While one student is giving a \"haircut,\" another student is \"fixing\" the leg of the refrigerated while wearing a construction vest. \r\n\r\nI love seeing my students learn and grow through play.
