We are using the games and Play-Doh for leisure and socialization during recess time. We have picked out our noise-canceling headphones and drawstring bags for assemblies, fire drills, and any other high-volume activities. We have used many other little items in our every day, such as the pencil sharpener and magnetic tape. Students also appreciated the plant border, as it goes with our new theme!\r\nIt was really exciting to get packages basically every day during the first week of school! Students couldn't wait to see what was inside (and frankly, neither could I)! The most exciting things were the Play-Doh and the pencil sharpener. \r\nWe just finished up standardized testing this week, so the games and toys have been a big help in keeping students entertained, busy and quiet while testing finishes up. Over the next few weeks, we will be doing more small group instruction, so we hope to get to use the BOB books and the CD player for the listening center. \r\nI am hoping these items last us longer than a single school year!
