Teachers were able to provide immediate feedback to students, helping them understand their mistakes and learn more effectively. We have been using our headphones the last few weeks of school. The impact that this set of tiger headphones has made is amazing! \r\n\r\nEach child has their own pair of headphones that they get to wear each week. Headphones were labeled and assigned to each student. Students are able to put on their headphones and complete assignments on their Chromebooks. All I hear is silence!! Every single student is quietly doing their assigned tasks and enjoying their headphones! I rarely have to give any reminders to stop talking because they are so involved in their class work.\r\n\r\nI never could have imagined the impact that these headphones would have for my students. It's been a game-changer. As you can imagine, this makes learning very difficult when everything they are presented with is written in a language they have yet to grasp. Add that stress to just being a teenager, and life can be very difficult in the United States for them. \r\n\r\nYour donation has allowed me to eleviate some of that stress for these students. I was able to purchase 4 translation pens, and a hand-held translator. The translation pens are very easy to use and they allow students to read their materials in their native language. The are very convienent and can be placed in a pencil bag to be carried around from room to room. \r\n\r\nThe hand-held translator allows for easy back and forth conversation between students and adults using more than one language. I recently gained a student from Mexico who only speaks Spanish. I was able to speak to him easily using the translator and answer all his immediate concerns about our school. At the press of a button, he was able to respond and ask more. The creativity, the collaboration, the generating of ideas and concepts was priceless.
