So having the physical pieces and multiple copies of them, we'll be able to reach a lot of the members of the club.\r\n\r\nIt's also extremely helpful to the students who are brand new to the club or D&D in general. It can be very daunting to try and do this on your own, but with our friendly culture and willingness to help others, these tools and visual guides will have a direct impact on the engagement by these players. Having physical things to manipulate, to touch, to pull from will go well beyond what they may experience otherwise.\r\n\r\nI'm looking forward to the students utilizing everything as often as they need. Specifically, we will be able to print various jewelry findings or objects to combine with our ring and pendant projects. Instead of being limited to painting and 2D materials, students could print objects to combine with a bezel ring - so instead of a stone, it could be anything they can find or make digitally. \r\n\r\nThe D&D club has been the first to be exposed to the equipment and printing. Several students have utilized 3D printing in another class, but they're excited to use it for more community building aspects of school and not strictly academic. There are a lot of players who look forward to printing their hero characters as miniatures, and our DMs that are looking forward to printing all the monsters they will be throwing at their parties. The students were really excited to have these materials to enhance their time in the club. \r\n\r\nThe next steps are to implement printing in my lesson plans and organize a more production line for printing in D&D. Students were asked to think of words, lyrics or quotes to impress into clay .
