I am excited to share the incredible impact your contribution has had on our students.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donation, we were able to host 25 students consistently after school, providing remediation support, access to learning materials, introduce hands-on STEM activities. This initiative has already made a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.\r\n\r\nHere are just a few specific outcomes your support has made possible:\r\n1. Improved Academic Confidence: students who once struggled with core concepts are now approaching their work with greater confidence and enthusiasm.\r\n2. Higher Engagement: Attendance and participation in our school day classes have increased, as students feel empowered in their learning journeys hence no longer skipping classes.\r\n3. Personal Growth: Beyond academics, students are developing critical thinking, perseverance, and self-belief. All skills that will serve them well for years to come. The iPad especially supported students research and presentation skills.\r\n\r\nOne student recently shared, \"I used to be afraid of math, but now it actually makes sense. I feel like I can do anything if I keep trying.\" Stories like this are the true measure of my project's success and they're made possible by you.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our students, families, and the math team, thank you once again.","fullyFundedDate":1740497006961,"projectUrl":"project/after-school-support/9060115/","projectTitle":"After-School Support","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Esther","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9894396"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_211","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":135,"numTeachers":14,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":32,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":59,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"9.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":38.6,"schoolId":211,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cascades High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cascades High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/cascades-high-school/211"}
