Thank you for seeing the potential in our youngest learners and choosing to invest in their futures. Your kindness makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the children we have the privilege of teaching each day.\r\n\r\nIn preschool, even a small opportunity can have a lasting impact. A new experience can spark a question, uncover an interest, or give a child the courage to try something unfamiliar. Your investment makes more of these moments possible, helping us create a classroom where children can explore, create, discover, and grow with confidence.\r\n\r\nAs educators, we know how much learning happens through play and hands-on experiences. Children need opportunities to investigate, make mistakes, solve problems, and try again. Your support helps us provide those opportunities beyond what our program's budget would otherwise allow. You give us the ability to turn ideas into meaningful experiences that bring learning to life.\r\n\r\nThe impact is personal because we see it in the children before us. We see it when a hesitant learner becomes willing to participate, when children share their discoveries with friends, and when pride lights up a face after accomplishing something challenging. Those moments may seem small, but they are important steps toward independence, resilience, and a belief in their own abilities.\r\n\r\nYour generosity also helps children build connections with one another. As they learn together, they practice sharing, listening, cooperating, and appreciating different ideas. These early relationships help them develop empathy and a sense of belonging. You are supporting a place where children can feel welcomed, included, and valued for who they are.\r\n\r\nFor our families, knowing that others believe in their children matters deeply. Your support sends a powerful message: their children's learning, happiness, and futures are worth investing in. It strengthens the connection between our classroom and the wider community, reminding families that they have people cheering for their children as they grow.\r\n\r\nFor us, your partnership brings encouragement and possibility. We want so much for every child, and it is difficult when limited resources stand between a good idea and the chance to make it happen. Your investment helps close that gap. It allows us to offer more opportunities and nurture the curiosity already present in each child.\r\n\r\nThe children in our classroom are tomorrow's neighbors, problem-solvers, caregivers, creators, and leaders. The confidence and compassion they begin developing today will shape how they approach the world in the years ahead. By supporting their earliest learning experiences, you are helping build a foundation that reaches far beyond preschool and into the communities they will one day serve.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a big impact at such an important time in our children's lives. Behind every opportunity you help provide is a child discovering, \"I can do this.\" We are grateful for your generosity, your belief in our children, and the possibilities you are helping them imagine for their futures.","fullyFundedDate":1778515212480,"projectUrl":"project/little-explorersgrowing-creating-and/10196359/","projectTitle":"Little Explorers:Growing, Creating, and Learning Outdoors 🌱","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Johnston","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2778436_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x0,y194&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1767808014786","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2778436"},{"teacherId":10241075,"projectId":9788630,"letterContent":"Thank you for your consideration and care for my classroom. Thanks to your support of our dinosaur unit, my preschool students were able to step back in time and truly bring their learning to life in the most exciting ways. From the very first \"ROAR!\" to the final fossil dig, every day was filled with wonder, curiosity, and hands-on exploration, making learning meaningful and magical.\r\n\r\nOur little paleontologists became completely immersed in the world of dinosaurs. They learned incredible facts about different dinosaur species, what they ate, how they moved, and how they survived millions of years ago. Students compared giant herbivores to fierce carnivores, explored volcanoes and habitats, and even practiced using new vocabulary words that made them sound like real scientists! Watching preschoolers confidently explain the difference between a Triceratops and a Tyrannosaurus rex was both adorable and amazing.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting parts of the unit was the hands-on fossil excavation experience. Students carefully dug through sensory bins and excavation sites to uncover dinosaur bones and fossils just like real paleontologists. They worked together using brushes, tools, teamwork, and patience to discover hidden treasures beneath the sand. The classroom buzzed with excitement every time someone uncovered a \"new fossil find.\" These moments encouraged problem-solving, communication, creativity, and critical thinking while making learning feel like an adventure.\r\n\r\nThe students also loved reenacting real-life dinosaur scenarios. They stomped, roared, hunted, nested, and explored dramatic play areas transformed into prehistoric landscapes. Through imaginative play, they strengthened social-emotional skills, storytelling abilities, and cooperative learning. Whether they were pretending to protect dinosaur eggs, escaping erupting volcanoes, or searching for fossils in the \"jungle,\" they were fully engaged in authentic, meaningful learning experiences that connected literacy, science, art, math, and STEAM exploration.\r\n\r\nOne of the most special moments of our dinosaur unit was inviting families into the classroom to experience the learning alongside their children. Families explored our dinosaur museum displays, excavation stations, artwork, and interactive activities created by the students. The children beamed with pride as they shared facts, demonstrated fossil digs, and explained everything they had learned. It created a joyful connection between school and home and gave families the opportunity to see just how powerful hands-on learning can be.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness and generosity, our classroom became a place where imagination, curiosity, and learning thrived every single day. You didn't just provide materials, you created opportunities for exploration, confidence, collaboration, and discovery that my students will remember for a very long time. Thank you for believing in our classroom, supporting our young learners, and helping us make this dinosaur adventure truly DINO-mite! I am writing to share the incredible impact your support has had on our students and to give you a glimpse into the magic you helped create.\r\n\r\nThe funding we received allowed us to purchase a wide array of high-quality materials that spanned the seasons. We used specialized papers and LED tea lights to create glowing holiday lanterns, and intricate beads to craft charming snowmen. Your donations also provided the heavy-duty adhesive and vibrant glass pieces for our mosaic tile coasters, as well as the delicate supplies for our heart snowflakes and suncatchers.\r\n\r\nNext week, we are planting flower seeds in hand-painted pots. Because of your gift, every student will have a living, blooming gift to give their mothers for Mother's Day—a project that teaches them about nature, patience, and the joy of giving.\r\n\r\nA Personal Moment of Connection\r\nOne of the most moving moments occurred during our session on the beaded snowmen. We have a student who recently arrived from overseas and speaks very little English. For the first few meetings, she was quite hesitant and stayed on the periphery. However, when she saw the colorful beads and the tactile nature of the project, her face transformed. She didn't need a translator to show the student next to her how she was meticulously arranging her beads. Soon, three other students were gathered around her, and laughing together. In that moment, the \"language barrier\" vanished completely. They weren't \"ESL students\" or \"newcomers\"—they were simply artists collaborating.\r\n\r\nThis project has done more than just teach students how to use a paintbrush or string a bead. It has built a sanctuary. For many of our students, the school day can be a high-pressure environment where they are constantly navigating new languages and social norms. The Crafty Cougars club provided a space where they could breathe, create, and feel a sense of mastery. One student told me as she was packing up her finished suncatcher, \"I didn't know I could make something this beautiful.\"\r\n\r\nThat boost in self-esteem is the true \"product\" of your donation. You have helped these students build friendships that cross borders and memories that will last a lifetime.
