It's so much easier to ask them to take out the yellow sheet than it is to help them to memorize the title of every task. It's infinitely easier for me to help them find assignments when we're hunting for the bright green paper. I tend to use one color per week, so that the color also lets me know when the work was due.\r\n\r\nHeadsets are used to help students listen to audiobooks and to background music while working independently. But we also use them to help students focus on the task at hand and block out the sounds of other students.\r\n\r\nFidgets can be a bit controversial. Some students treat them as toys which then become distractions. But for students who need to wiggle or move around, fidgets enable them to get the sensation of movement while also helping them focus on the directions, so they know what to do, and then on the task, so they can finish it.\r\n\r\nWe feel so fortunate that donors help us provide our students with these (and other!) items.","fullyFundedDate":1762822181388,"projectUrl":"project/back-to-school/9577054/","projectTitle":"Back to School!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bennett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2503770_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1508010931518","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/audrey-bennett"},{"teacherId":8800230,"projectId":9755601,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing these new resources!
