One of their favorite moments has been using the parachute together—students work as a team to move it up, down, fast, and slow while listening carefully for directions and music cues. The scarves have also been a wonderful way for students to explore movement by dancing, twirling, and creating their own motions to different types of music.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our lessons, students will be building on these experiences by exploring different sounds, tempos, and ways to move their bodies. We will introduce simple rhythm patterns with the instruments and encourage students to take turns leading the class in a movement or beat. With the parachute, we will continue practicing teamwork and listening skills through cooperative games and songs.
